How do I get started?
Sign up and submit some previously completed reports. We'll then personalise your assistant so it writes the way that you like. You'll receive 3 free trial reports within 1-2 days. If it doesn't save you time, walk away with no charge and no awkward cancellation.
How long does report generation take?
Typically 20-30 minutes after uploading your notes and photos. You'll receive an email notification with a direct link when it's ready.
Will the reports actually sound like me?
Yes. When you sign up you'll upload a handful of your previous reports. Our technology studies these to learn how you write and adapts your assistant to you. Every line is editable, so the final report is unmistakably yours, just produced far faster.
Can the AI invent defects or details I didn't mention?
No. The AI can elaborate on observations you provide and add recommendations based on stated issues, but it cannot fabricate problems not mentioned in your notes.
Is the output PI-safe?
If you want it to be, yes! Your assistant can be trained to use appropriately cautious language (e.g. "likely caused by" rather than definitive statements).
Will my data be shared with other surveyors?
No. Each surveyor's content, style, and knowledge base is kept entirely private and is not shared across users.
Do I have to dictate on-site?
No. Many surveyors dictate in the car after the inspection, back at the office, or from written notes. The platform works with any approach.
What dictation app should I use?
We recommend Letterly, which is included free with your Blooming Surveys account. It works on all devices, as well as offline, transcribes automatically, allows you to make unlimited recordings, and you can edit them afterwards if you wish. Otter.ai, or any other dictation tool, are also compatible.
How does photo management work?
Upload all photos from your survey at once - the AI automatically categorises them into the relevant report sections, generates captions, and selects the most relevant images. You can search, reassign, annotate, and reorder via the editor.
What image format should I use?
PNG or JPEG is recommended, but it will work with any format. If you use a format that is currently unsupported, just let us know and we'll add it for you.
How does pricing work?
It's pay-per-report with no monthly subscription - reports never expire, so quiet months cost you nothing.
What are the pricing tiers?
Under 50 reports: £25 each 50-199 reports: £17 each 200+ reports: £14 each
Is VAT included?
Listed prices exclude VAT. As we are VAT registered, VAT is added at the standard rate at checkout.
What happens if the AI goes down?
The platform uses API infrastructure with automatic retries and fast error detection. Brief outages are possible but rare. To be on the safe side, create your report 24 hours before you need to send it off.
How is client data handled?
We use a third-party AI provider to draft your reports. The client's name and the property address are entered in dedicated fields and are not sent to the AI. Your notes and photos are sent to draft the report; the provider does not use that data to train its models and deletes it after up to 30 days. Because notes are sent as written, we ask you to keep client and third-party personal details out of your notes and to use the dedicated fields for client information.
Does it support Level 2 and Level 3 surveys?
Yes, both are supported. The AI applies different levels of detail appropriate to each survey type.
Can I use my own report template instead of the RICS standard?
Yes. Custom templates can be configured at an extra cost. Setup typically takes a couple of days.
